Death certificate   In the early phases of the Holocaust, the Nazis would often issue death certificates for those whom they murdered. Later, they would keep detailed records of death camp transports, and the names and places of deaths and burials. Many of these records still exist, and provide direct evidence of the extent and scope of the Holocaust.
